An elegant Webster Groves home is refurnished with Transitional design in mind.

For this Century home, the clients’ existing furniture was kept while incorporating a few new pieces. In the dining room, the original tray ceiling is highlighted by a fresh damask wallcovering. Millwork trim was painted in white semi-gloss to add brightness. An abstract rug, custom chairs and plush velvet window seat add modernity. Custom host and hostess chairs complement freshly-covered silk stripe fabric on the original dining seating.

In the living room, the fireplace was refaced in marble and mantel made oversized. A cozy sitting area with textural furniture and accessories completes the moment.
