For a handsome St. Louis home, new furnishings and paint elevate each space into a bold statement.

Updated furnishings and paint colors enlivened this home. Dining chairs were recovered in patterned lush velvet. The light-filled sunroom was drab and drafty; plush carpet was added along with comfortable leather lounge chairs. Windows were covered with dimensional, bordered silk fabric.
A linear brass light fixture was the perfect selection for the long kitchen table. The table itself was stripped and painted by local artisans. Chairs are covered in gray vinyl for easy cleanup. In the family room, a stone fireplace is the centerpiece. Sectional seating provides optimal TV viewing with family and friends.
The bar received a new backsplash and fresh paint. A gold-leaf ceiling adds a moment of shine. In the powder room, graphic wallpaper adds a bold statement. The colors reflect the theme of the house. A custom Roman shade with beautiful border feels tailored. The window trim was painted semi-gloss black to highlight the original millwork.
In the laundry, washer and dryer were relocated to allow for maximum counter space. Hardwood floors were replaced with Spanish-inspired encaustic tiles. Striped café window panels allow natural light to flow in while adding privacy. The classical lantern fixture in gilded iron completes the space.
